“The work ethos and commitment to excellence of the workers in Pfizer Newbridge is truly an inspiration and just goes to show what can be done when people put their minds to being the best”. This was stated by Independent MEP Marian Harkin following a visit of local, national and European politicians to the Pfizer factory in Newbridge, Co. Kildare on Friday last.

She continued:- “I was really impressed by the can do attitude of the workforce.  If there is a problem there is a collective response to find a solution and not just any solution, they seek the best possible solution.  The pharmaceutical industry is hugely competitive and the only way to survive is to constantly innovate and to be at the top of their game.  Leaving Pfizer in Newbridge I was most optimistic for the future success of this enterprise, Marian Harkin concluded.
